1 The Makeup Show Chicago - Beauty Mecca

Sunday, June 12-13 3,000 amazing artists gathered at Chicago's Venue One for a first of its kind Midwest trade show The Makeup Show Chicago. A fantastic weekend of PRO seminars, more than 60 of the biggest and most respected brands in beauty (MAKE UP FOR EVER, INGLOT Stila Cosmetics, MAC, Smashbox Cosmetics) Of course an event of this caliber attracted a group of the most powerful bloggers and YouTube beauty gurus on the planet. ( the makeup hauls and swatches are already flooding youtube and twitter)

eyeadorepretty.com and I were invited to participate in the press avail with Sam Fine. A coveted spot! (thank you Melody/ Melody Joy PR) He lived up to his reputation of being warm, informative friendly and a little cheeky! Must see video...

The exclusive blogger preview brought together an intimate group of heavy hitters who listened intently as James Vincent ran down all the swag we were going to take home, embryolisse anyone? Yes, the bag was
THAT good. But the people were that much better. Afrobella, JenJamesBeauty, Pursebuzz, Santara, Ateya... The list goes on.

Seminars were presented by Reggie Wells, Sam Fine, Maurice Stein, Jinny Houle, and Joanna Schlip. (more on that in a follow-up post)

Lucky you were invited. Does this happen only in Chicago? I'd love to swipe my credit card for this kind of makeup show.

It's really sad...

The recession is everywhere. But at least they are having good sales," said Olsen, who pointed to her hat. "That's where I got this! The recession!
