H&M Chicago - Michigan Avenue
All Photos are my own (if you use them please just link back. K?)
Thanks to chicityfashion I attended an exclusive event to celebrate the launch of Fashion Against AIDS last night. I blogged about the collection here when photos of the line were released. I was really looking forward to seeing it in person and to be able to do it with good music, hors d'oeuvres and a 20% discount I headed down to the Michigan Ave location all sixes and sevens. As you know 25% of sales are being donated to youth HIV/Aids youth awareness projects so it was nice to be able to support a good cause too.
The event even turned into an impromptu tweet up, I went with @skinndeepbeauty and ran into @thesassypeach , @Stylish_Living , @shoelovadotcom and @raijean
I have to say I was gutted when I learned they did not have my size in the sequin jacket or the distressed leather jacket (pictured above) but one of the associates convinced me that they would have more stock out today. We shall see.
I was really impressed with most of the pieces in the collection, they were all merchandised well and the La Force Stevens crew and H&M staff were delightful. There were many surprises, items that I was not thrilled about that turned up looking amazing in real life, the only disappointment in my opinion was the fringe top. Admittedly I did not try it on, but the fabric and color turned me cool about it.
I'll be uploading video for the haul vlog on my youtube channel tomorrow so stay tuned. And some "actual" fashion hauling too with ootd (outfit of the day)
Here's a closer look. Don't forget to click after the jump for tons more.
This dress has hook and eye closure so you can play with how low cut you want it. The accessories had good weight and seemed an outstanding value for the low price point.

This dress is perfect for just about everyone. Very flattering!
Gold leggings???, a second beaded jacket (they're both so Betty and the tunic in orange)
The hipster headphones and the stonewashed fitted jean mini. I'd die if the denim was a little darker.
