Celebration of Womanhood vs. Adulation of Adolescents
Elle Macpherson, Lara Stone, Adriana Lima, Coco Rocha, Bar Refaeli, Karolina Kurkova, walked in 40's style waist cinched full skirts and cleavage revealing tops. I like that they didn't attempt to call these models full figured or curvy (which would be laughable considering they probably all run a size 4 or smaller ) but rather celebrated the fullness of their experience and spirit. Refreshing.
New mom Karolina shared her thoughts with the AP backstage noting - "I feel like a real woman who is glamorous, who's taking care of herself, who's not afraid of her body."
