Alexander Wang F/W 2010 #nyfw recap

3 words: ease, sexuality, and irony - A. Wang

It was a deconstruction of the male suit. A nod to the nineties. I loved the cutouts on the trousers, the shoes, and primarily the separates. The velvet tights / leg warmers added a quintessential irreverent Wang touch. I can do the velvet, in moderation.

In the same spirit as Mr. Wang expressed in the post interview: "democracy"I am giving you the twitter reaction to the collection. (will update as they continue to roll in)

Twitter Recap:
@derekblasberg - Alexander Wang was a mash up of luxe S+M meets Clueless suits, with a bit of 90s and Givenchy mixed in. I loved it
@NylonMag - The Want show looks like S&M boardroom...
@chicagostyle - I liked almost everything. Not the apocalyse hair though
@StyleTelevision - The hair at Wang was fit for "The Road"
@StyleListSays - Natalia Vodianova opens and closes the #alexanderwang show. It looked like baby Givenchy - how apropos
@AggyDeyn - Thank you for having me in your show Mr Wang!
@reinery29 - Chenille, velour, velvet...there are fabrics here at A Wang we haven't seen since Buffy the Vampire Slayer
